Game + Internet + Local Communities = DIY Economic Prosperity

We’ve developed a fun way for people to self-organize our way out of this economic crisis by harnessing the power of games, the internet, and local communities.

The majority of people and small to medium sized businesses are assets rich (shared underutilized time, labor, knowledge, and goods) but cash poor. To supplement the lack of cash flow, our startup, Producia, enables people & businesses to convert their underutilized assets into a digital currency to exchange them with other members, without the use of cash. This is Barter 2.0.
We’re utilizing the power of gamification to spur activity in the Producia marketplace. First, we learn our members skills, knowledge, and the underutilized goods they have, the causes they’re passionate about, their interests, and what goods & services they need. Then, we assign them missions/tasks relevant to the information they shared with us so they can earn the currency of the marketplace, Fini, to purchase goods & services they need from other members. The more missions our members complete, the higher levels they unlock which features benefits such as higher spending limits, gift certificates from sponsors, cool badges, exposure, cash stipend, startup funding & assistance, and more.
Producia is the fun, barter-based marketplace with a cause of enabling everyone to become an impactful social entrepreneur to eventually self-actualize in a sustainable world. We are currently operate as a fiscally-sponsored, not-for-profit cooperative.
